‘No sweat’ is the mantra for gym wear. Today a lot of brands have come up with antisweat, dry fit track lowers, which are hip yet comfortable to wear for intensive workout sessions. However, hosiery tracks are an all time favourite with Revati. While Preity feels that, shorts are an ideal wear during leg workouts as well as to show off those newly acquired well toned legs.

2. Tee-chnology
Technology is fabulous when it comes to high performance garments in gym wear. Nike, Reebok and Adidas have a great collection of anti sweat T-shirts that come in varied patterns and colours. “Racer back well fitting T-shirts with motivational quotes are in style now, inspiring you during the workout,” suggests Revati. Also look out for the fibre content in the labels.

3. Sole searching
Shoes are an integral part of gym wear accessories, but that doesn’t mean you refrain from being trendy. “Raise your shoe style quotient in gym by investing in blingy shoes in silver and gold from Nike or the Fish Fry collection by Manish Arora from Reebok,” cues in Revati. Opt for well fitted, comfortable light shoes with a flexible sole. For running on the treadmill, spiked ones are great but for weight training choose the shock absorbent shoes that provide apt support to the heel.

4. Sock’ em up
Cotton or hosiery socks from Nike or Reebok are a must to be able to breathe freely throughout the workout session. For women who are high on the style status, wear ankle length socks as they look trendy and are super comfortable.

5. Inner investment
Reebok, Adidas and Nike have come up with good sports bra for women that will minimize any kind of injury. “Thongs and boy shorts are advisable under tights and track pants,” says Revati. After all, you don’t want guys staring at those granny panty lines, Right?

6. Grip it right
Preity recommends a good pair of hand gloves to get a good grip while working out. It will also protect your beautiful soft hands from getting those eeky corns.

7. Band-it
Keeping your hair in control is important while working out. Go for the cute and sporty look by sporting broad fancy head bands available in various designs and colours. It’s best to skip any jewellery in the gym- strictly no hoops, bracelets or anklets please.

8. Don’t forget the accessories
To carry all the stuff mentioned above, a nice sporty bag in vibrant colours is a must. Also, do remember to get yourself one of those trendy sippers.

    Well, what I’m thinking is that for several years now I have seen a disturbing trend at the gym. Women tend to wear those socks that barely stick above the shoe! What happened to real socks? Why have they become something to hide? I happen to think socks make legs look better. Particularly when I see a woman bucking the trend and wearing those capri length pants with real socks! It sort of frames the lower leg and calf and makes it look sexy. I would love to hear from you women on this. Thanks
